Today I almost had my first OOBE. When I woke up by the morning, I tried to stay montionless and with my eyes closed, just like I read yesterday (one of the methods to induce sleep paralysis). Being honest, it was pretty hard, as I moved myself in bed even before thinking about moving, but I kept trying.
I had planned to get to the sleep paralysis state layed down on my back, but to avoid moving myself more than I had already moved, I changed my position and decided to lay down on my front.
I can't tell how it happened, it feels like I fall asleep and woke up immediatelly after, but I woke up in the paralysed state. I have never been on a sleep paralysis before, however, I didn't explore this state as I knew what I wanted to do. As soon as I realized my state (concious, but with the body sleeping), I tried to leave my body. It worked!
I was laying on my front, so I used my arms as a support to raise my head and trunk. I felt a vibration, but it was extremely comfortable (I can't tell whether I felt that vibration on the whole body or just on head, arms and trunk).
As I moved my arms, head and trunk, knowing I was not moving my physical body (even though it felt the same, except for the vibration) I realized I had achieved my goal. I felt very excitted for achieving it and for seeing for myself it was something real, with that excitment, I just thought "I made it!!". However, that thought was enough to send me back to my body.
I haven't even left my body completely (as I haven't moved my legs yet) and I was sent back to it already. That's why I say that I almost had my first experience.
I'm not frustrated, though! I'm gad could I make it and eager to try it again.
P.S.: when the experience was happening and right after it, I was 100% sure it was not a dream. But the more time passed, more I started to doubt it. However, writing about the experience here made me remember it better and be sure it was not a dream. I also remember having some clarity of mind and control about my actions I don't have when sleeping. For example, I thought about leaving my body by visualizing a rope and climbing it, but as I was laying on my front I realized it wouldn't work and used my arms instead.
